Why?

Standard

Saturday night after leaving the hospital visiting someone, Nitza and I go to the Chocolate Cafe in St. Joe.

Aside from the regular “I want to try out something different, so I think for 4 minutes but always end up picking the same thing I’ve always gotten, never have tried anything else” story something else was suprising.

While Nitza and I were talking and listen to the live music (which was quite good, I must say) next to us were a group of elderly people.  First though in my head, “how nice, elderly people going out as friends”.  Then I go into a you’ve got to be kiddin’ me moment.

There right next to us this group seated a table for four, is not listening to the music, not talking to eachother, but rather each one is reading.  To top it off, none of them are reading the same book, thier all different.  For the 30 minutes that we were there I never heard one word from any of them.

We didn’t have senior quote (HS), in College I don’t think I took a Senior pic, at least can’t remember and I don’t buy yearbooks (even in College when it was free somehow I only have one) Anyway my quote would be one that Lici put on face book: “La inteligencia me persigue pero yo soy más rápido.” (Oscar Wilde) Intelligence is chasing after me, but I’m faster.
